For fall, Tommy Hilfiger champions individuality in a big way. A new gender-inclusive capsule collection is the result of a collaboration between the fashion brand and the British designer Richard Quinn. The range references a variety of radical cultural archetypes as well as aesthetic expressions. The design concepts for fall have resulted in a collection with fashion-forward silhouettes and a reworked version of the Ivy League look at the forefront.
Richard Quinn lends his unique style codes to the Tommy Hilfiger fall collection. Graphics with a strong statement combined with bold shapes are enticing. The new “TH Monogram” converges with Quinn’s distinctive daisy design, which covers padded coats, sports backpacks, and more. This combination reflects the spirit of innovation that Tommy Hilfiger embodies.
Several of Tommy Hilfiger’s American classics, from the varsity jacket and 5-pocket pants to the bomber jacket, have been given a modern makeover to reflect a contemporary aesthetic. The thrilling capsule collection designed by Tommy Hilfiger and Richard Quinn reflects a modern interpretation of several archetypes, such as the punk, the adventurer, the cheerleader, and the athlete.
“I’ve always been inspired by working with creatives who push boundaries, and Richard is no exception,” says designer Tommy Hilfiger. “We’ve brought together our two distinct aesthetics to create a rebellious take on modern Prep.” Hilfiger adds, “It’s unexpected and optimistic and reflects the playful spirit at the heart of both our brands.”
“Tommy and I share the same obsession for prints and textiles, so it was a natural joy to balance and combine our visions for this collaboration,” explains Richard Quinn. “It was inspiring to dive into Tommy’s archives and find the iconic pieces that became the canvases for our co-creation.” Quinn expresses, “We pushed ourselves to be dramatic and vibrant with every detail — in the pursuit of progress — and the final pieces do not disappoint.”
The Tommy Hilfiger x Richard Quinn fall 2022 capsule collection is currently available at a variety of retailers across the globe, including Tommy Hilfiger, KaDeWe, Selfridges, and Printemps, in addition to other specialized boutiques throughout the world.
